The intimate connection of Gijón/Xixón with the Cantabrian Sea is shown in many aspects. It is our horizon, our balm, our playground… and our work.
Enzo lives off the Cantabrian Sea and what he extracts from it. Hard work, but exciting. Like him, many others: Diego, Sara, Abdou and David are also dedicated to fishing and do not change it for anything.
We do not know if this way of life will continue for many generations, but it is enough to meet Elsa, Enzo’s daughter, to see that, at least, we have a great candidate.

The Musel
Musel is the port of Gijón/Xixón. One of the most important in the Atlantic Arc and the largest in Spain in bulk traffic.
The fishing facilities are located at the Rendiello Pier: the fish market, workshops and cetaceans with sales to the public.
The marina
In the heart of the city we can enjoy scenes like this one, where pleasure boats have their shelter and where you can rent a boat or hire tourist tours to enjoy Gijón/Xixón from the sea.
Fishing on land
Fishing is not only done by boat. It is very common to find people practicing sport fishing with a rod on the docks, in the marina, in the rocks… If you like fishing, you will surely find your perfect corner.
Delicacies of the sea
Everyone knows that in Gijón/Xixón people eat out of fear. And what the Cantabrian Sea offers us is something out of the ordinary.
