We work to make Gijón/Xixón a destination for all people. Improve your facilities, train your team and position your company in the accessible tourism market.
Gijón/Xixón Tourism makes available to tourism companies in Gijón/Xixón the Tourist Accessibility Program. The main objective of this plan is to improve the facilities of tourist establishments and to raise awareness and train staff in caring for people with disabilities and various needs, incorporating accessible tourist services to the destination. Gijón/Xixón and looking for a tourist offer for everyone.
Tools for companies participating in the Program:
+ Recognition visit of the company’s facilities.
+ Report of improvement recommendations for the company.
+ Awareness and training on accessibility and attention to the public with disabilities and special needs.
Companies that meet the minimum requirements and are selected will have the following advantages:
+ Grant of Accessibility Seal Universal accredited by Impulsa Igualdad.
+ Promotion on the main portals specialized in accessible tourism: TUR4All, Podemos Viajar, Equalitas Vitae, etc.
+ Sending information in newsletters aimed at a target audience of more than 10,000 users.
+ Be part of the accessible tourism offer of Gijón/Xixón.
More than thirty entities are endorsed with the Seal of Universal Accessibility. All of them have been analyzed by Impulsa Igualdad’s accessibility technical staff and have complete information about their facilities and services. Consult the distinguished companies.
