Queen’s Gardens

With its unmistakable palm trees reminiscent of the Indians, the Jardines de la Reina are the obligatory stop between the marina and the main shopping street of the city, Corrida.
Originally created as port service spaces with land reclaimed from the sea in front of the local docks, they received their name in 1900 on the occasion of a visit to the city by the Queen Regent María Cristina with her son Alfonso XIII.
