Miquel Navarro, 1999. Aluminium
Andarín is a three-metre-high figure, on a pedestal, made of aluminium. It is the combination of the union of parallelepiped geometric elements, cylinders and pyramids, which result in a schematic human profile, stylised and light, and with shapes so basic that it looks like a toy. Miquel Navarro’s Andarín is abstract, but it does not lose its image of movement. Everything in it is geometry, but it does not lose its anthropomorphic meaning. After all, what is man, if not geometry?
