Surface parking
Most of the surface parking areas in Gijón, whether free or paid, are associated with points of attraction and mobility generation (Stations, Shopping Centers, Administrative Buildings, Work Centers, University Areas, Hospitals…).
Loading and unloading parking
Loading and unloading schedules:
- From 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the O.R.A. Zone.
- From 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on other roads.
Loading/unloading is prohibited within 100 m of the reserved area.
Maximum Authorized Mass: 16,000 kg.
Parking for people with reduced mobility
The number of this type of parking spaces has practically doubled between 2008 and 2012.

Motorcycle parking
Two-wheeled vehicles must park in the spaces specifically reserved for this purpose. In the event that there are not, as long as parking is permitted, they may park on the road next to the sidewalk obliquely to it and occupying a maximum width of 2 meters, so that access to other vehicles or the passage from the sidewalk to the road is not impeded.
Rotating parking
The highest concentration of underground parking spaces is found within the ORA Zone (mostly in zones 1 and 3), with a percentage of spaces offered in rotation normally lower than the percentage of spaces offered by subscription.
